We have improved the mega menu experience for keyboard users.
Why all this matters
These updates help make our clients' sites that are built using a Mega Menu, more usable, more inclusive, and better optimised for search.
Accessibility improvements
- Screen reader compatibility: The menu is optimised for screen readers, allowing it to be read only when open and skipped entirely when closed.
- Screen reader functionality: Users can now open the menu using specific screen reader commands.
- Keyboard-friendly navigation:
- Easily tab in and out of the menu.
- Once inside, you can navigate through all links and buttons seamlessly.
- Press Escape to close the menu, which will return you to your previous location.
